Session 2
Troy Young for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Great writeup Troy. Love the imagery and depth.Carver has a grand persona and enjoys telling a tale! Like an Unsolved Mysteries narrator. Perhaps that aspect gets a little disctracing, as if "he" holds everything at arms length. Shored up and safe in his delivery, we get a great sense of him, but also that it's rather shallow feeling. The more it stays the same, the easier it is for us to disengage. Not to say the voice and performance aren't really good choices. Consider saying this right TO someone live in front of Carver so that some reacting/adapting could be included for some more expression vaiance to this great voice.
Thanks, Brendan, I have trouble relating to long monologues pretty often as it's hard for me to pin down in my mind a real world situation in which someone would be talking like this, as it's something I would never do unless I'm telling a long story that I'm really excited about, but will continue to work on it. That being said, I went back and listened to the actual Fallout 4 trailer after recording and found the delivery of it to be boring as well (at least to me), so I don't think I was really emotionally in tune with the message on this one.
