Megicula is one of the highest-ranking devils in the Black Clover universe, known as the progenitor of all curses in the living world. After the mysterious disappearance of Astaroth, Megicula assumed his position in the Tree of Qliphoth and formed a contract with Vanica Zogratis of the Spade Kingdom's Dark Triad. Through this pact, Megicula sought to manifest fully in the human world by sacrificing three powerful female mages: Acier Silva, Vanica Zogratis, and Princess Lolopechka. This plan led to the deaths of Acier and Vanica, and the cursing of Lolopechka, setting the stage for Megicula's partial manifestation.

Megicula's magic arsenal is vast and terrifying. Their primary attribute, Curse-Warding Magic, allows them to inflict debilitating curses that can weaken spells, cause physical deterioration, and even transform individuals into devils. Notably, Megicula cursed Acier Silva, leading to her death, and Princess Lolopechka, turning her into a devil. Additionally, by controlling the souls of Vanica and Acier, Megicula gained access to Blood Magic and Steel Magic, enabling the creation of formidable constructs and enhancing their combat abilities.

Personality-wise, Megicula is characterized by a scientific curiosity and a lack of empathy. They view humans as intriguing subjects for experimentation, often expressing fascination when humans exceed their expectations. However, this curiosity is devoid of compassion, as Megicula is quick to discard or destroy subjects once their interest wanes. Their interactions are marked by a cold detachment, making them one of the most chilling antagonists in the series.
