Polydaemos, along with Hyndertandes, is a guard of the keys to leave the underworld. He is immortal, so while Hyndertandes can die but come back, Polydaemos never dies, as his skin is impenetrable. Polydaemos represents the intelligence in monsters, using his environment and his wits more than his raw power.
