The Bunker Files - AUDIO LOG – Barry Halden
Arc for Barry Halden
Character: Barry Halden
Age Range: 30s to 40s
Voice: Natural, grounded, introspective. Shifts gradually from casual and uncertain to quiet, unnerved, and ultimately resigned.
Tone: Realistic and conversational, with subtle emotional progression across logs.
Barry is a regular guy doing a strange job, he’s sent to Bunker 4 to monitor cameras pointed at a mysterious rainforest no one really talks about. At first, he’s unsure but trying to take it in stride. As the days go on, things start to feel off. He notices strange changes in the forest, in the footage, and eventually in himself.
The actor playing Barry needs to sound like a real person slowly losing their grip. No big dramatic shifts, just a steady, believable change from someone trying to stay professional to someone who’s quietly unravelling. The fear and tension build quietly, and by the end, he’s almost too calm, like something inside him has changed for good.
