PERSONALITY BREAKDOWN / POSITION IN STORY
Adric Leonardi is the Commander of Fort Voss and Garren Voss’s lifelong comrade. A battle-hardened veteran from the time before the Collapse, Adric now serves as both a military leader and a quiet emotional anchor in the community. He’s respected not because he demands it, but because he’s earned it through grit, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty. Though tough and blunt, Adric is not cruel. He speaks slowly and deliberately, often letting silence do most of the talking. He acts as a father figure to Ronan and is one of the few people Garren genuinely confides in. He has a no-bullshit attitude, but it’s paired with surprising warmth, especially toward the younger generation. Adric still believes in ideals like loyalty and honor, even if the world around him has stopped pretending to. He’s the kind of man who will kill if he has to, but he’ll bury the body himself, say a few words, and carry the weight silently for the rest of his life.
SHORT PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Adric is a weathered man with a long, frizzy gray beard and deep lines etched into his face from years of harsh survival. His right eye is milky from old injury, leaving him partially blind on that side. His hair is short, unkempt, and graying heavily at the sides. He wears old, well-maintained tactical gear, layered over thermal undershirts and fitted like a uniform he never stopped wearing. His boots are always laced tight. Despite growing more laid back in his later years, he still holds to a strict daily routine and a no-frills military discipline that he carries like muscle memory.
CASTING NOTES
Looking for an actor with a deep, gravelly voice. Though a hardened veteran, Adric carries the energy of a gruff, no-nonsense uncle.

(Soft, like he’s talking to Ronan) “Your father’s made hard choices… some I didn’t agree with. But don’t mistake survival for betrayal, son.”
(To Ronan, firmly) “Feelings don’t stop bullets. You want to protect someone, you better start by thinking like a soldier.”
(Grumbling while fixing a broken lantern) “Of course it’s busted. Everything we own’s older than half the people using it. Hand me that wire before I throw this thing in the snow.”
