  • The shooter was identified as 30-year-old Lance Lowe, who had been released on supervised parole in April 2020 after serving time for grand theft. First responders got there quickly and fought to keep both Officer Inn and Lance Lowe alive, but in the end – neither survived.

  • According to investigators, he had been searching terms like “mass shooting events” and “crowded area events,” pointing to a likely plan to attack a public gathering before ultimately ambushing police at a nearby crash scene instead.

  • Critically wounded in the attack, Officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes survived—along with a bystander caught in the line of fire. Sadly, 23-year-old Officer Jake Wallin was among those who didn’t survive.
