I do feel this is headed in the right direction! I think with a bit more of annoyance on line 2 and desperation on line 3, it would be great! I could see the voice potentially working as well!
Listening back on it, would you even be able to go older sounding? Such as more scratchiness? I could send references your way if you would like some! :D

I'm so sorry for the late reply - I've been in the middle of moving across the country 😵💫, and my new studio won't be set up until the 2nd or 3rd of Aug., but I can absolutely do a scratchier/creekier version once I get back up and running!
