This role is for all the named Manhattan newsies with solo lines. This includes Race, Albert/Alberta, Elmer/Elma, Specs, Henry/Hilda or Heidi or Holly, Finch, Romeo/Juliet, Buttons, Splasher, Mush, Tommy Boy/Tommy Girl, and Jo Jo. This is also for Spot Conlon, who sings most of Brooklyn's Here. All of these roles will be played by females, and we're looking for any voice part as long as you have that distinct newsie accent! Most of the newsies have a few solo lines here and there, and once you've gotten the role we'll be more specific on what you'll sing. [The female names for the newsies are subject to change and are not final.]

The Manhattan newsies are in Carrying the Banner, The World Will Know, Seize the Day, King of New York, and Once and For All. They're also briefly in Brooklyn's Here and the Finale has pretty much everyone in it.
