Class Session 2
Auri Streets for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Thanks for submitting the tongue twister, but where is the rest of the homework? :) Ideally, please submit the tongue twister and the homework in the same audio file. Recommend keeping the beginning and ending silence/room tone to about 0.5 seconds or so.
Your audio is on the quiet side. Try adjusting your gain so that peaks for normal talking, land between -12 and -6 dB and peaks for yelling/loud projection land between -9 dB and -3 dB. Generally a good distance from your microphone for recording as a rule of thumb is the space between your pinky and thumb when they are extended apart from each other. And, make sure you are talking into input diaphragm of the microphone at the front of the microphone. Usually this is the side with the logo, but check with your specific microphone. It’s easy with large diaphragm condenser microphones to accidentally speak into the back of the microphone where the cardioid pick-up pattern is lower, so just confirm you are speaking into the appropriate location to be well heard as well.
Sounds like you had some nice energy and variation in your tongue twister and a warmth in your read.
Keep up the good work!
