I enjoyed listening to your take! Your cadence and intonation are oddly satisfying; I found it interesting and engaging to listen to. I felt the projection coming through - maybe you could give it just a little more! But I also find projection difficult, so take that with some salt haha. Nice job!

Wilhelmina Marie, VA

First Impressions: Nice pacing and tone. Calm and educational, but still friendly. For the most part, your articulation is clear and consistent, with only a few areas where that consistency wavers.

0:09 You don’t grant enough of a space between the word ā€œmakingā€ and ā€œanimalā€ here, and don’t give enough attention to the ā€œKā€ sound, leading to these two words blurring together a bit.

0:19 Sounds like ā€œwhaddeeā€ instead of ā€œwhat heā€

0:34 Says ā€œperpetuatedā€ instead of ā€œpropitiatedā€. When going through a script, be mindful of spelling so you can make sure you use the correct words and pronunciations.

1:13 Stutters on ā€œended upā€. You may benefit from slowing down a little when you find these words, or other similar words back to back.

Final Thoughts: All in all this is a great read. Your pacing can be a little fast in the middle of your sentences, but your articulation within that speed still holds up for the most part. I enjoyed listening to this!

Something to note: You have a slight habit of pronouncing your T’s as D’s instead. Ex. Peder instead of Peter, trodded instead of trotted, whad instead of what. Not always, but enough to be noticeable. With articulation, consistency and clarity in your speech is the goal, and it’s good to be aware of your own voice’s quirks when you are reading.
