First Impressions: You have a lovely voice for this genre of VO. Excellent work bringing in unique and fun mannerisms into your read to keep the listener engaged. You had me invested by the end of the second sentence with your change of cadence on the word “dough”, and you kept that engagement throughout your performance with your varying pace, energy, and the rhythm of your voice.

0:11 Said “shape” instead of “shapes”

0:16 “Peter teetered”, slight stutter on “teetered”. When approaching same-sound words back to back like this, you can slow down your speech a little to allow your mouth to produce these sounds a bit more clearly.

0:40 Mispronounced “Propitiated”. When you are unsure of how a word may be pronounced, or even if you feel you know but it may be a word you haven’t used often or haven’t heard aloud before, it’s best practice to check the pronunciation. Otherwise you may end up having to retake the line.

0:41 Said “with creativity” instead of “his creativity”. For long-form scripts like this, make sure to double check your read so you can catch when you misread. This is especially important for audiobook genres where it is imperative that you read exactly what is written. Great job catching this and reading the line again to correct it!

0:58 Said “Start” instead of “Started”.

1:03 Extra side tip! When reading lists, try to vary each item on the list so it is not the same sound being produced over and over again.

1:27 Said “All the things” instead of “All of the things”

1:32 Said “Harry Podda” instead of “Harry Potter”. You articulate very well on “Peter”, so you want to follow that through similarly with “Potter”. Consistent articulation is key.

1:44: Said “cares” instead of “cared”. Again, you caught your mistake, paused, and reread the line correctly. Fantastic job!

1:57 Pronunciation of “mattered” blurred a bit, sounding more like “Maderr”.

Final Thoughts: This was so pleasant to listen to. As I said before, you have an excellent voice for this kind of genre. Overall, you did a solid job articulating most of your P’s, T’s and D’s, even when changing up your pace. That said, when you speak quickly you sometimes merge letters and words too closely together and lose the consistency in your enunciation and articulation.

Gorgeous job recognizing your misreads and correcting them. You may have missed a couple, but you handled the ones you did catch incredibly well. You exhibited a wonderful ability to acknowledge, pause, collect yourself, and start again. Great work!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I will try to work on my pronunciation as well as pace.
