Since ditching the overalls, switching to contacts, and streamlining his vocabulary, Billy has seen a clear statistical improvement in his attraction to the opposite sex since becoming a Power Ranger, but it is that very responsibility that has compelled him to always cut things short from growing too serious.
That is until meeting Kay Andersen, an Angel Grove High senior transfer student. Her radiant energy and innocent naivety seem almost tailor-made to his specifications, but even after Billy joins Kimberly's Promethea Ranger revolution rebelling against Zordon's rules, revealing his identify as the Blue Ranger to Kay still seems like a bridge too far, just as continuing on with the relationship and lying to her about it...
