Fall is no stranger to lashing out at people closest to him, but something deep down during the scene causes his words to hold more hurt than anger. This scene is the turning point of his character.

THE LAST THING I NEED IS YOU GUYS TELLING ME HOW YOU GUYS “DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ARE” WHILE I'M HERE! HATING MY OWN FLESH AND BONE (hyperventilating) SEE! SEE!? You KEEP mishearing me, this is why I don't need YOUR help, or anyone else's.
(Stern) You guys don't. get. it. (Shaky) you guys managed to overcome this, then why is it me who keeps failing? (Silence) you see Levi, I want to choose death over all of this..even both of you. (Dead tone) We should've been killed when they had the chance. There is nothing worth being here..as one of us.
