Great work with practicing projection! I could tell you really put effort into it!

0:38 Read “until” instead of “till”

0:41, 1:00  When you misread or have a little stumble (happens to everyone and it’s okay!), it’s highly encouraged to start again at the beginning of the sentence or paragraph or a point that would make it easy to remove and replace the mistake during editing. If you just keep going and don’t return to a solid point that makes it easy to edit out the mistake, you may need to come back later and re-record as a pick-up, and it becomes challenging to make it sound the same as the original recording. So, a good rule of thumb is to record so that it’s easy to edit later. When the mistakes are then edited out, it will sound like you read everything perfectly. (Typical Comment)

1:01 For repeated words, look for ways to say the words differently - “change-up” to keep it interesting - varying pace, pitch, etc. in the way you read the words. I did hear some variation, but there is room to explore variations even a little further to make it even more lively.

1:01 Missed the word “free”

1:07 Read “representative” instead of “representatives” - be aware of changing words and dropping or adding “s”

1:27 Missed the word “added”. Slowing down your read a bit will help to catch all of the words.

1:36 Added word “a”

For actual auditions, be sure to quality check your work after recording to ensure you correctly performed the script and of course edit out any mistakes. For this homework, we wanted this done in one take to see how you handle any mistakes so we can kindly offer constructive feedback for improvement.

This read felt somewhat rushed and strained by the end. It’s okay to pause the recording and then resume if you need to break the recording and re-center yourself before continuing.  If we did a second take for the homework, I would have liked to have heard one that was brighter and more energetic and excited about the topic at hand - perhaps even with a bit of a smile in the read. That would have contrasted nicely with your first read. Something to think about when doing auditions too - when you give two takes make sure they are completely different as this shows your range to a casting director.

Overall, I felt you did well with enunciation and pronunciation as well. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the feedback, I think I might have misunderstood the assignment. When it came to recording my take I interpreted the first take as the first recording I did, so I practiced the lines without recording, and then recorded one time. Now that I know better, I'll definitely try to get a better take before I submit any assignments in the future.
