You have such a unique voice! Sounds amazing!!

Melody Rainelle

Well read! I could hear you doing commercial work and/or announcer spots - or even live event “voice of god” gigs.

0:12 I hear “term” instead of “terms” - be sure to go slow enough you can fully pronounce the words and clearly enunciate.

0:22 When you misread or have a little stumble (happens to everyone and it’s okay!), it’s highly encouraged to start again at the beginning of the sentence or paragraph or a point that would make it easy to remove and replace the mistake during editing. If you just keep going and don’t return to a solid point that makes it easy to edit out the mistake, you may need to come back later and re-record as a pick-up, and it becomes challenging to make it sound the same as the original recording. So, a good rule of thumb is to record so that it’s easy to edit later. When the mistakes are then edited out, it will sound like you read everything perfectly.

0:34, 1:27, 1:55 Read “purchase” instead of “purchases” - be aware of changing words and dropping or adding “s”

1:02 For repeated words, look for ways to say the words differently - “change-up” to keep it interesting - varying pace, pitch, etc. in the way you read the words. I did hear some variation, but there is room to explore variations even a little further to make it even more lively.

1:50 Read “and an” instead of “with”

For the purpose of this homework to work on projection, I felt that you did well with it, however, there may be room to do even more with projection. Think about the scene of being in a gym or large auditorium with no microphone and you need your voice to be heard in every single corner of the room. Engage with your diaphragm and take in a big, deep breath to fill up your lungs so that you have the power to push your voice out. I felt that you did well with the articulation and enunciation in general.

Overall - really solid read. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the critique, I appreciate it. And "Voice of god", I'm honored. I was a teacher for years, I guess I learned how to have that commanding voice

That's awesome! And a great perspective to bring to voice acting! Definitely gives you a leg up on the public speaking aspect! :D
