ZaqueriVO for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
45 minutes can feel like a long time to focus on just one script, and it’s completely normal to feel like you're running out of steam after a while. In the future, if you find yourself still struggling after 20 minutes, try taking a break. Step outside the booth, do something completely different, and then come back to the script with fresh ears. This can help you hear things differently and get you back into the right mindset. It’s about giving your brain a chance to reset. Sometimes when you’re too deep into something, you can’t hear where you need to adjust, but taking a break and coming back can give you the perspective you need.
When it comes to your performance, you did a great job at the start with solid projection, but as you continued, the energy started to drop. It's important to maintain that energy from start to finish, especially when you're trying to convey excitement or enthusiasm. If you start strong, it’s crucial to maintain that momentum so it doesn’t feel like the energy is tapering off. This kind of consistency will help keep the audience engaged. Also, there were a couple of words you misread like “alteration,” “entrée,” and “vinyl." These small things aren’t a big deal, but with a quick double check or an extra listen before recording, you can easily avoid these little mistakes and keep your read sounding polished.
Pacing is another key area to work on. There were a few awkward pauses where it seemed like you were unsure of what came next, which can cause the flow of the script to feel a bit choppy. Try to find a rhythm that allows you to continue speaking naturally and confidently. A smooth, consistent pace is what will keep the energy flowing and make the delivery sound more conversational. Toward the end, I loved the personality that started to come through—it felt like you were having more fun, especially in the third section of the script. I’d love to hear that fun, relatable energy from the very beginning. Bringing that excitement into the first part of the read will make the entire performance feel more cohesive. Also, in the final section where your projection dipped, remember to breathe from your diaphragm to keep your voice strong. Take a moment, slow down just a bit, and focus on keeping your energy up. Overall, this was a solid read with plenty of potential. By working on pacing, consistency, and keeping your energy level steady throughout, you’ll continue to improve and grow as a voice actor. Keep up the good work, and don’t forget to have fun with it!
Thank you for the feedback and advice! Will be working on it
