Excellent backstory/scene you have envisioned.

Really nicely done! I could definitely picture a professor speaking to a classroom who sounded knowledgeable, yet somewhat bored and explanatory providing the information to the students. Good changes in pausing, inflections, and volume. I could hear the opinion in your voice - well done! The only minor comment would be in the section “proved to tear” it kind of sounded like a little stutter with the “t” sound, so perhaps slow down in that section to clean that up a bit more. Great work! I could picture this scene in an anime show.

I encourage you to start looking into further treating your space to reduce/remove the reverb and room reflections in your audio because that could now start to become a limiting factor in your ability to book work. We recommend 4” acoustic foam and/or blankets. Rockwool Safe’n’Sound panels could also help to deaden the reflections and reverb. These you can even DIY fairly easily. Keep up the great work!

You're a great actor, so not much work needed on that front, but I'm noticing you seem to lean towards doing characters with a hard/cynical edge (like cops, investigators, or in this case, a professor who feels like he's being ignored). Is that something you prefer? And the scenario you came up with here is more interesting than the original script so possibly could be a writer as well. To help you with the echo - I'm using a dynamic mic, moving blankets on the walls, and couch cushions placed randomly in the room to help soak up even more sound (anything with a lot of mass will work). So there's very cheap ways to manage that.
