About:
Mac and Trix are the dynamic duo of Ma’s Kitchen, a Cat Cafe/Diner run by Sal's sister, Daisy May. It’s also a frequent stop for Viv to get their healthy dose of joe. Although they don't speak often, seeing these two at their usual spot at the chess table every morning brings Viv a small smile, happy to see some things never change in this crazy villain-infested city.
Mac (left) is a rebel metalhead with a bit of a hipster twist, constantly dawning a resting bitch face, but he is actually an introverted sweetheart. The only times he is shown with the slightest change in expression is when he is at a concert, hanging out with Trix, saying hello to Viv on the rare occasion, or (most of all) when a cat is nearby. Suffice to say, he frequents the Diner for a reason.
Trix (right) is Mac's witchy-gothic best friend, who also dawns a resting bitch (or in this case, a resting witch) face, even more so than Mac. Viv has ever only seen them/her smile once, and that was when a cat jumped on the chess table right as Trix was about to lose, knocking over all of Mac's pieces. They/She lovingly nicknamed the cat Zwischenzug for being their/her little hero. <3 (They/She calls him Zugzug for short.) The relationship between these two has been strong ever since they met in chess club in high school, going on for nearly 10 years now. Folks at the diner swear the two of them are dating, but the true nature of their relationship is kept entirely secret, if only so they can keep the people on their toes >:3c

Trix: *faux gasp* "He would never!”
(Either Mac or Trix, while focusing on their game) “Oh, hey Viv. Catch any cool bad guys recently?”
(Trix or Mac, for either lines) [“Hey Miss May, can we get another side of mac to go? We’re about done with our game.”] (Miss May responds) [“Oh har har har, ‘you already have a Mac’, soooo clever.”] (small pause) [“I thought it was clever-”] [“You hush!”]
