I see you looking at my profile, lol. You're definitely the better pick though - that was an excellent reading.
What can I say? I got curious because I didn't expect anyone to even look at me, so thanks for that! Also thanks for the vote of confidence! You're pretty good, yourself! Best of luck to you with your auditions submissions, friend!
Likewise! Though I have to ask - What is your recording setup like? You have excellent audio quality.
I'm surprisingly basic. Blue Snowball, I record in the corner of my apartment, and I use Audacity software. I also turn off any and all potential causes of noise that I can when I record, as well as using the software's noise reduction to get rid of any faint background hum. I have a basic adjustable mic stand hooked to my desk, as well as a pop-filter/wind screen, which really helps with any rush of air from my mouth not causing mic feedback. I hope to do more in the future to increase quality, such as attaching audio dampening foam to one side of a room divider, better mic (thinking a Blue Yeti), that sort of thing.
Basic or no, it certainly did the job! Thanks for the info; I'm definitely taking notes. Best of luck landing the part.
If VAs don't help and look out for each other, who will? Wishing you best of luck, and happy to help however I can! Ever want to ask anything, fire away!
