Morning after morning, Sam woke up excited for his day. He walked into his clothes closet to get dressed.

Sam had plenty of options. There were jeans, soft shorts with dinosaurs, long sweatpants with rockets, and athletic pants with his favorite logo on the side of the leg. Regardless of all these choices, Sam's preference was a well-loved pair of sweatpants that were two sizes too small with holes in the knees.

Sam reached out and chose a pair of pants, pulling them off the hanger. He sat on the closet floor and confidently put the pants on, one leg at a time. 

Believing he was satisfied with his selection, Sam stood up with a smile on his face

Quickly, Sam's smile vanished and turned into tears. He dropped to the floor, crying and forcefully pulling and kicking at the pants to get them down from his waist to his knees and finally off his ankles.

Sam returned to his clothes rack and continued trying on each of the remaining options. With each choice, he had the same miserable outcome.
