You were far from sure why they seemed to keenly interested in the rest of the group, even if they kept everyone at a distant arm's length. 

Their constant faux interest at least made them more approachable than a few others within the group but speaking to them only brought more confusion and questions to who they were and where they came from. 

And why they seemed to find such glee in picking on Lucien. 

Their very presence was carefully constructed to be inviting, drawing you in like sticky honey you could drown in. 

Life on the road often alienated one until paranoia, most weary people on the swampy roads lashing out at anyone who dared to approach, but they seemed to welcome it with open arms. 

Peculiarity was etched into the carefully curated, honeyed-front they kept.   PERSONALITY:   Pro’s: Has major game, caring, affectionate (lil too much), self-aware, socially apt, cunning, intelligent (streetwise), once you’d penetrated the walls they keep, they’re extremely loyal, respects your decisions without judgement.   Cons: Vain, slightly manipulative at times, distrustful, firm believer that honey traps more flies than vinegar.

“Now shoo, shoo, go on and eat, unless you’re simply dying to get a taste of whatever fruits are crawling out the dirt nearby, I can assure you, they’ll be far less sweet than the ones growing in Myertle (Myer-tell).” (Mocking but sweet tone.)
