Age: 18
Kaya is a raging tomboy who is unwilling to wear anything that could be considered remotely feminine as she likes boots and roomy clothes to match her athleticism. Despite this, she will get very upset and angry if called a boy which happens quite often because of her deep voice and masculine attire. Kaya is always cheerful and bouncing with energy. She can also be quite airheaded and eccentric at times (even in serious situations) given her somewhat sheltered upbringing and refuses to take "no" for an answer once she’s decided on something.
Voice:
Kaya has a very androgynous voice. While it’s unintended, her pitch and tone can often make her sound like a young boy. Her voice always carries a lot of energy and fiery passion.
(Cheerfully/friendly)
Have you had dinner yet? Because I'm starving!
(Holding back then breaking into laughter)
Pffffttt…Y-you should’ve seen the look on your fa-Hahaha! I got you good!
(Crying/Yelling as she defends someone)
Can't you hear it in his voice? He’s scared! More scared than any of us... He doesn’t want to hurt anyone! Why can’t you understand that?!!
|| Audio Quality: Lower than needed. Watch BG thumps and plosives || Voice: Most everything feels a bit held back and reserved. Kaya will need to be a lot louder and explosive || Yelling/Energy: Can go even bigger and louder!
My mic is a SE-X1 and the interface is Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 audio interface. Both of which are incredibly high quality. I hate to be rude but please don't say that is low quality. The reason for any clicks was because I was in a rush and don't have time to edit out the taps on the keyboard as I had to go to work. I do like the part, but before giving feedback look at the type of equipment that people are using
I can redo the audition if you would like, now that I have a bit more time
Hello again, Kittykosplay! I apologize for insulting you, as it was not my intention to say your microphone quality was insufficient. Merely the audio quality of the audition as a whole. I would recommend turning your gain up on some of your lower volume takes and use a compressor to make sure nothing peaks. If you are in a rush, I'd recommend waiting to submit until you can be sure there is 0 BG noise or plosives. Speak up and laugh and yell with all your energy for this character. If you're worried about bounce when getting louder, make sure your recording space is properly padded (Though I didn't hear much bounce in your take) Good luck! And feel free to re-audition as many times as you'd like!
Thanks! I will defiantly take in what you said :)
