The other main character of Love 4 A Walk, Tyler, is a warm and caring person with a quiet energy. After going through a painful divorce, Tyler decides to fully focus on his life with his faithful dog Tequila. The breakup leaves him guarded and unwilling to pursue another relationship, for fear of hurting her again. For Tyler, tequila is his emotional anchor, providing comfort and company during his most difficult times.

When Tyler meets his neighbor, Pam, everything begins to change. At first, Pam is drawn to her dog Bob because she admires his dedication. Despite his emotional walls, Tyler finds himself slowly falling for Pam. Her ability to connect with Bob is a bridge, allowing her and Pam to spend more time together.
