Excellent read! I could tell you were having fun with the script and that definitely comes through in your performance. Great job with articulation and enunciation. Nice use of change-ups and variation in the performance. If you are able to announce a live game or event in ad-lib/improv the way you did with the written script you could definitely look into voice acting for live events / “Voice of God”. Might be worth training for or looking into if this interests you!

The play calls were perhaps a tad slower than they would be in real time. To take it to the next level, think about how fast things happen in sports in real time. Imagine the scene playing out in your mind - you are seeing all these actions and then you are reacting to them naturally while quickly explaining it to your audience.

1:04 I hear “Silvianis sad” instead of “Silvianis’s sad” - the words ending with “s” and starting with “s” can be very challenging to read well. Slowing down a tad to leave enough room to say both comfortably does help a little.

Now, the only thing missing is the answer to Burger’s question: Who is your audience you were speaking to?

Keep up the great work!

Aww darn I forgot to add that answer haha

I usually put really minimal descriptions for auditions, guess I should have paid better attention to the homework 😅

To answer the question though, I was imagining a SportsCenter-like broadcasting desk, with a jumbotron displaying clips behind me. For the slow motion bit, I actually imagined like a motion graphic transitioning from a shot of the desk to just a full screen of the events playing out in slow mo with my commentary being voiced over it. Naturally anyone watching Freaky Freddie's Volleyball Highlight show would be fans of the volleyball league who weren't able to catch the game.

Great point about the speed of the gameplay, I should have done some research into how fast volleyball actually takes for the individual plays (maybe even ad libbed some commentary for practice) before jumping into the read! (I've been trying to do research for my auditions more lately. It takes longer, but oh so worth it!)

Thank you so much for the feedback! ❤️

You are one of the most skilled pure actors in this class. I think you should be doing character acting though. Maybe an energetic teenager/young person of some kind. I don't know if it helps at all, but it's easier for me to picture you as Freddie in Scooby Doo (as opposed to Freaky Freddie) saying something like "Hey Gang! We have a mystery to solve!" That sort of character.
