Really nicely done! Great announcer type voice.

1:03 added word “classic”

1:11 added improv “you know how those usually go”

1:12 sounds like “Viking Staff” instead of “Vikings’ Staaf” Those tricky words with an ending “s” and a starting “s” with the next word. They are a little easier to tackle if you slow down a little bit more in those sections. I believe “Staaf” is also pronounced a little differently than “Staff”.

I feel like a lot of your sentence endings started to hit the same note patternistically going down in inflection - particularly in the paragraph starting with “Up next” for the last few lines. Be careful about falling into patterns and repetition, such as consistent down-ticks at the ends of ideas or sentences. It starts to feel less natural and a little over-played. Try to stay natural and authentic as you deliver the lines so it doesn’t feel like just a performance.

I feel like the calls on the plays maybe should have been a little faster. Think about how fast things happen in sports in real time. Imagine the scene playing out in your mind - you are seeing all these actions and then you are reacting to them naturally while quickly explaining it to your audience.

I liked how you stayed in character and added in the tongue twister. And great little improv at the end to make the casting director smile/laugh. That definitely increases the chances of booking work, or at least being remembered!

This could definitely be another area of voice acting for you to look into if it’s something that interests you! If you are able to announce a live game or event in ad-lib/improv the way you did with the written script, voice acting for live events / “Voice of God”... it might be worth training for or investigating!

Nice work!

Now, the only thing missing is the answer to Burger’s question: Who is your audience you were speaking to?

Thanks again. I have a love/hate relationship with announcer voice. It used to be pretty much all I did, and it can be a lot of fun, but sometimes I get a bit bored with it, and I think that's when I start falling into repetition. And this was a three-part homework? Clearly, I need to do more reading beyond just the script.
