Class Session 3
Jayme Lecoeur for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
My gf told me my French accent was bad, like I was making fun of a French accent hahaha BUT I'M HALF FRENCH. Canadian French, but still! hahaha
Really nicely done! Now, if you are able to announce a live game or event in ad-lib/improv the way you did with the written script you could definitely look into voice acting for live events / “Voice of God”. Might be worth training for or looking into if this interests you!
I did look it up and it appears that your pronunciation was spot on for people speaking Swedish for “Vikings”. In English, it’s pronounced with a long “I”, so for this homework, I’d say both are correct - either way. :D
Your audio is definitely a little quiet. You probably should normalize to -3 dB instead of -6 dB.
Loved the completely different style and energy/life you brought to your read of the tongue twister. This is an excellent thing to do with your auditions - make sure your ABC takes are distinctly different just like this.
Keep up the excellent work!
Now, the only thing missing is the answer to Burger’s question: Who is your audience you were speaking to?
Thank you Melody! I will say that this would not be my preferred thing to do because it takes a lot of energy out of me...and also I'm really bad with improv, only recently started getting a bit of practice with it through playing dnd. Hahaha
I feel like I was imagining not so much a serious sports announcer (....lol) but probably a group of listeners/watchers seeing the match after the fact and wanting to laugh/have a bit of a parody of the match. So maybe a video on Youtube or a podcast uploaded later instead of a live event.
