Knuckles is a kind and friendly individual, usually ready to lend his friends a helping hand when they need it. However. Knuckles can also be greedy, claiming that helping sonic and Tails fight Metal Robotnik is one more job he will not get paid for, and saying that he will put it on their tab.

Knuckles seems to be easily angered and slightly vindictive, getting mad at Sonic for accidentally stepping on his head and hitting him later as payback. Knuckles is also shown to act flustered whenever a girl shows him affection, and can easily be seduced by a girl into doing favors for her.
