The Oracle is an immortal creature responsible for observing the events of the mortal plane but not able or willing to interfere. It is immense, quadrupedal, and leonine; almost like a celestial sphynx. Not a god, but something even more ancient and powerful.
Clear-spoken and dry, with a wry and sardonic tilt like it always knows more than it lets on. Its voice can take on a savage edge when crossed. It has seen aeons pass, kingdoms rise and fall, and so the fate of a few mere mortals couldn’t be of less concern to it.
