Well read!

0:05 “performance” feels like it wasn’t clearly spoken - be sure to fully enunciate and articulate your words so that everything can be clearly understood

1:51 odd break/pacing between “style” and “carrying case” - may be worth another take if you hit an odd pacing/stride in your read. When you misread (happens to everyone and it’s okay!), it’s highly encouraged to start again at the beginning of the sentence or paragraph or a point that would make it easy to remove and replace the mistake during editing. If you just keep going and don’t return to a solid point that makes it easy to edit out the mistake, you may need to come back later and re-record, and it becomes challenging to make it sound the same as the original recording. So, a good rule of thumb is to record so that it’s easy to edit later.

Due to the nature of the script it does sound a little choppy in your read, so look for ways to smooth it out a bit more. Particularly in reference to the paragraph starting with “No cash?”

Good use of variation in your read and overall your articulation and enunciation was very good as well!

When you’re ready to take the next step to improve your voiceover recording, you will want to look into treating your recording space with acoustic foam and/or blankets to help reduce the reflections and reverb in the space. It’s not necessary for this class however as we are focusing on the basics of voice acting.

For the purpose of this homework to work on projection, I could tell you were putting in some effort to project, however, there may be room to do more with projection. Think about the scene of being in a gym or large auditorium with no microphone and you need your voice to be heard in every single corner of the room. Engage with your diaphragm and take in a big, deep breath to fill up your lungs so that you have the power to push your voice out.

Overall, nice job! Keep up the good work!
