Hey all, thanks for the interest! For this role, we're definitely looking for some high audio quality. Alongside this our videos tend to run relatively long, which means people fall asleep to our videos. With this in mind, a more chill, kinda laid back style would be ideal. However, we aren't looking to lull people to sleep or anything, so don't feel obligated to go wayyyyy too chill or anything!
As a note for the audition here, we're talkin' anime which means there's gonna be some names and things that may not be immediately recognizable for pronunciation. For this audition (and for all scripts) we'll have pronunciation guides for ya, but even still we'd say that having a genuine interest in anime would be great!
First of all, we have Yuji Itadori (Yuuji Itaa-dorii), the show’s protagonist who’s all about kicks and punches. Then we have Megumi Fushiguro (Meh-gumi Fuu-shi-gooro) and Nobara Kugisaki (No-baa-raa Kugi-saaki), who’re basically the Sasuke (Saas-ke) and Sakura to Yuji’s Naruto…though not in a toxic love triangle kind of way…
Hunter x Hunter (Pronounced - Hunter Hunter) premiered on television in late 2011 and ran all the way until 2014. The story is based on the manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi, whose unfortunate back problems means he has to take multiple year-long breaks, leaving fans thirsting for more chapters and earning the series an enduring nickname: Hiatus x Hiatus.
Lastly, we also have Satoru (Saa-taru) Gojo…the trio’s very chaotic but all-powerful sensei who’s definitely gonna go down in history as one of the most popular anime characters of all time! Yep, this guy is super special, if you’re wondering “why”, you’re gonna get to know just that…in a few minutes.
