Orihime's father. A fairly reserved man.
Ogata in his youth was an artist studying in Italy when he met Carino Soletta, an Italian noblewoman. While the two had fallen in love, her family refused to allow her to marry him and so was forced to return to Japan while Carino gave birth to Orihime.
By this point in the series, Orihime had made amends with her father, realizing he had never forgotten about the two of them. He is now working as an artist, being commissioned by Chibasuke to draw the cover to his new novel.
