The narrator will read a monologue from the perspective of someone who is living out the last days on Earth when the earth eventually dies due to climate change. The narrator reflects on the beauty of the world and feels sad about the way things are ending.

  • We see fewer and fewer birds, but it doesn’t occur to most of us right away that their songs are gone. Eventually we forget what the birds sounded like.

  • And then there is the water. Does it actually flow more slowly now? Too contaminated with poison to remain clear—rushing over everything in a futile attempt to cleanse the toxic earth?
