Cheery and optimistic, refusing to let failure after failure after failure after failure after failure after failure after failure after failure after failure stop him. Living a liferemoved from consequence has left the consequences he'd experienced in the past few years ineffective in imparting lessons of any kind to him. His quick decision making and eagerness to seize opportunities is done without any regard for what those opportunities actually are or the effect they'll have on anyone, including himself. Despite his chipper demeanor and general aura of sunshine that can trick people into thinking he knows what he's doing, at his core he is indifferent to anyone who isn't himself, impatient to show everyone how great he truly is, and generally, not that bright.

(Introduction Confessional) “You’re looking at the winner of Pocket Survival 3 baby! That’s right, I’m Matthias, and I’m here to show everyone just how amazing I am! My friends say my confidence doesn’t match my skill level, but they don’t know what they’re talking about! I’m gonna crush this competition and head home with a million bucks! I mean, I have to! I’m the best option here and the only one deserving of it! It helps that I really need the money after Father cut me off, but that’s besides the point! I’m above Father, I don’t need his billions of dollars, I don’t need to be in his will, and I don’t need the jobs he tried to give me! Yeah sure, ever since I quit he’s gone out of his way to make sure I never get a job anywhere else, but whatever! I’m gonna prove to him that I’m the best mon in this family by winning a million bucks all on my own! No one can stop me!”
(Answering a Question at Tribal Council) "I'm proving that I can handle myself! Like I've been saying since Day 1, I'm above Father, and I'll say that every day until I inevitably win! And after that too, of course!"
