Velen Strahde III is the self-appointed prince of the Gothic Club, undefeated Debate Team captain, and unofficial ruler of the school after sunset. He floats through the halls in black velvet, sipping mysterious “juice” from a gilded chalice and judging everyone with centuries of refined side-eye. Though technically a student, Velen carries himself like a tragic poet-king who’s seen it all and is so over it. He speaks with elegance, flair, and a touch of bored superiority—but underneath the dramatics is a razor-sharp wit.

Performance Notes:

• Voice should be silky and stylized—like a vampire who’s just barely restraining an eye roll.
• Lean into theatrical delivery and rich enunciation, with occasional smugness or ancient gravitas.
• Should sound both tired of mortals and endlessly fascinated by their foolishness.
• Great with dry humor, subtle mockery, and lingering pauses for dramatic effect.
• Occasional haughty laugh or dramatic sigh welcome.
