CODA: A Thesis Film by Sam Doktor
Kaley Lynn for Eddie
Eddie Ross (she/ her, 27 y.o) - Stoic, aloof, cowardly
Eddie works as a tattoo artist, particularly known for her aquatic-motif designs. She appears carefree and unaffected by others, but it’s all a front. In reality, she ends up appearing either awkward or cold. In the past, getting too close to others caused her a great deal of trouble, particularly a falling out between her and her friend Sasha in high school, so she figures it’s best if she sticks to herself and hides how she feels. Deep down, however, she longs for a real connection.
Total line count: 19
I’m looking for a deep, feminine voice, able to show emotion while remaining semi-flat. The range of emotions in this role includes being awkward/ anxious, annoyed/ frustrated, upset, remorseful, and (optional, would be awesome if you could!) distressed (light sobbing).

This isn't real. this isn't real, you're... just- tired… or something.
Sorry I uh, I'm a little tired. Anyways, uh, you in town for fun, or…
Listen I'm really sorry about what happened in the shop. I wasn't expecting to see you again. And I got scared… I'm scared because I hurt you back then, and I don't want to do it again. Because I... never, ever had someone as special in my life as you.
