Ultraman M/L/V
Hayden for Reaprea / Genjo Taguchi / Alien Ba'tt Tarnemyx
Whoever is assigned this role would be the Voice Actor for the Reaprea, Genjo Taguchi, and Alien Ba’tt Tarnemyx.
The Reaprea is a Dark Cosmic God and the ”Ultimate Embodiment of the Elemental Essence of Death”, though not necessarily of the concept of death in a conventional sense: moreover, the Reaprea represents evil that may be committed in the name of grief. He is Vainglorious, Malevolent, Selfish, Cruel, and Ruthless.
Genjo is Ultraman Zaarens, a supervisor to Team MLV who, while not a member, helps them when necessary. He is Caring, Understanding, Generous, Brave, Heroic, and Stern.
Tarnemyx is the grandson of the unnamed Alien Ba’tt from Ultraman Saga. Like his grandfather, he is a powerful and skilled combatant. He is Petty, Vainglorious, Overdetermined, Selfish, Ruthless, Manipulative, and Tactical.
[Reaprea] “Fool! You cannot defeat me, Ultraman Vylcan! You never could! It was you who entered my realm! It was you who sealed your fate! In the end, you will be mine one way or another.”
[Genjo] “You believe there’s a connection between the Reaprea Conflict and the Typhonian Hand? I must admit, even with our limited knowledge on the entity responsible, that’s a heck of a guess, Team MLV.”
[Tarnemyx] “You would expect me to just accept Planet Ba’tt becoming allied with one of its greatest historical enemies? No. My grandfather once sought to destroy Humanity and the Earth. I must live up to his immeasurable legacy.”
Not going to lie, that take on Alien Bat Tarnemyx is pretty good. There are some critiques to be had, but they more reflect on the character than on you, so I’ll share them if you get the role.
My main concern, is your voice for the Reaprea: the voice you’ve done is fair , but the Reaprea’s final voice will be filtered to be deep and booming at its core, with lower tone (not necessarily whispers) almost sounding like growls, so this role will need someone capable of doing voices designed for editing. ‘Think you can handle that?
I'm not familiar with doing voice editing myself, but I could definitely attempt to do lower so that way it could be filtered, I'd be fine with that haha, just let me know. Thank you
Not what I meant. The Audio Engineer will handle the voice editing. What I was asking was if you could do some more takes on the Reaprea’s voice that would be slightly more… varied. I suppose that in hindsight, the whole point of my initial comment was kind of contradictory: I said that I wasn’t going to give you critiques on your voice in the audition, but I think I need to to get my point across for the Reaprea.
Basically, the Reaprea’s voice isn’t just about “oh, it needs pitch shifting”. What the Reaprea is, is a demonic entity that has a booming, godly sort of voice with an over-the-top, determined personality. As such, the way you articulate your voice even before putting it through the filter will by necessity make a big difference in how the voice is percieved. It’s about finding the right balance, to be honest. Too over the top all the time, and the performance will be ruined. Too growly most of the time with only bursts of the necessary over the top-ness, and the performance might be subpar compared to what it could be.
I gotcha sorry for the misunderstanding, I'll re record some his line then to try to fit this and will turn that in later today
