Class Session 2
Francisco Astorga for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
This was a fantastic read! You allowed yourself to be very dynamic and engaging, which made the performance feel alive and immersive. I especially loved how you softened your voice when talking about sadness—that shift added depth and emotional contrast, making the storytelling much more compelling.
For this next read, bring even more of that energy—embrace even more change-ups to make the performance feel even richer and more varied. You’re already on the right track, so now it’s about pushing those choices further while keeping them natural and connected to the story.
There were a few moments where you sounded a little unsure when saying certain words. Make sure your performance flows smoothly, especially when it comes to names. In voice acting—especially for video games—you’ll encounter a lot of unique names, fictional places, and different currencies. Your job is to say them with confidence as if they are completely normal and natural. If you hesitate, the listener will pick up on that uncertainty.
Because of your accent, some words might be a bit trickier to pronounce smoothly. For example, I believe you said "duh" instead of "dough." This is just a minor nitpick, but something to be aware of moving forward. If certain words feel unnatural, take a moment to practice them in different contexts so they feel more comfortable in your delivery.
All in all, this was great! Keep refining those change-ups, confidence in pronunciation, and emotional contrasts, and your read will be even stronger and more polished. Amazing work!
Thank you so much for your feedback, Burger! (:
