Class Session 2
Michelle J for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
You said "Paddington" instead of "Padderton" so watch out for that. Changing the last name can cause confusion and inaccuracy issues for the performance so we just want to be mindful of those things. I can also hear you pronouncing the T's in words like Peter, trotted, little, teetered, etc as D's, so make sure you are really articulating your words as well as the very ends of words. You don't want your words to bleed and blend into each other and become jumbled up.
I can hear some subtle changes in your tone but really play around and bring out that emotion even more! Make the audience feel exactly what Peter feels and what you want them to feel. You're the voice they hear so you want the audience to really connect to the story and your words.
Watch for the troublesome "propitiated" word. Look up the pronunciation on google to get an idea of how to say it correctly. I always have to google words and places when I have the script of something beforehand. If it's made up words, the client or director can always give you a pronunciation guide or even tell you to say it however you feel works! This was a nice take so keep it up!
