Student Fourteen is an intelligent and passionate man with a soft-spoken personality and a love for all things academic. While he comes off as somewhat intimidating, he is actually rather friendly, willing to talk at length about the things that interest him with other interested parties. His tone should be polite, friendly, soft and thoughtful, with a mid-to-low pitch.

I don't mind him much at all. I actually think it's rather interesting to hear about his life outside of the game. He's so energetic.
During the Edo period, funerals became more elaborate and codified. The dead were often buried with their personal belongings and given posthumous names, or kaimyo, to prevent their spirits from returning if their real names were called.
I wanted to go for a more hushed tone for Fourteen, since I felt that might better convey his being more friendly and polite than what might be first let on, and might also stand out a bit more.
