Class Session 1
John Po for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Sorry it's so quiet! I had my settings all screwed up in Audacity, but they are fixed so we hopefully won't have anymore recordings like this.
Your audio is definitely quiet so it's a little harder to hear, but your voice is also pretty soft and quiet and lacks projection. Make sure you are using your diaphragm and filling up your lungs with air by taking big, deep breaths so your voice can carry and have the power needed for the scene of being in a gym with no microphone.
You have a nice, calming tone which is nice! You're pacing a bit slower so I try speeding up a little bit. This can also add a jolt of energy and break up the overall calm, quietness throughout. Don't be afraid to add some variations of changes like emphasis, pacing, volume, inflections.
Your words were clear and easily understandable. Main thing to focus on is just really projection and really visualizing the scene and who you're speaking to so it can sound more authentic and natural. Good work!
