You did really good!!! I like how each come on in sounded different.
Let's work on our projection a bit, The projection sits at about a 5, which leaves a bit to be desired. There needs to be more vocal presence to make the read feel stronger and more engaging. Right now, the delivery lacks the fullness needed to fully sell the performance. Try focusing on engaging your diaphragm to support your voice better and increase projection without strain.
One thing I’m looking for throughout this read is a consistent smile. Right now, it’s not quite fully present, and that affects the tone and warmth of the delivery. Smiling while speaking naturally brightens the voice, making it sound more inviting and engaging. Make sure that energy carries through the entire performance rather than appearing in certain moments and fading in others.
That being said, I really like how well you overcome flubs and get back into the read without a hint of frustration. Many people lose energy or get thrown off after a mistake, but you keep your momentum going, which is a great skill to have.
Your pronunciation is strong, as there isn’t much word slurring, and you pace yourself well enough to ensure you’re taking in enough oxygen to get through the script comfortably. That level of breath control is great and will serve you well in longer reads.
The biggest area for improvement here is making the read feel more conversational. Right now, there’s a heavy focus on pronunciation and enunciation, which makes it feel more like a formal read rather than something engaging and natural. The goal is to sound like you’re genuinely speaking to someone rather than reciting lines from a script. Try imagining that you’re talking to a friend about something you’re excited about—this will help add a natural flow and emotional connection to the read.
By boosting projection, maintaining a consistent smile, and leaning into a conversational tone, your read will feel stronger and more engaging. Keep up the great work!
