Sawamura is the captain of the volleyball club and a third-year student at Karasuno High School. He is a wing spiker, and very dependable at receiving. As the captain he's able to build a solid foundation of the team. He is kind, dependable, and doesn't get easily discouraged, but all of his teammates also fear annoying him because he turns alarmingly terrifying when angry.
