Karma is a bit narcissistic and is a ladies man. Before he was cursed, many women from his kingdom fell in love with him. He did not love anyone until a particular witch came along. He was with her for a bit, but then ended up discarding her. In anger and hurt, the witch cursed him and gave him his fairytale curse. Karma had the tendency to throw out something beautiful when he was bored of it, and only likes beautiful things.

There are times Karma can be isolated, cruel, and harsh, especially when his fairytale curse is progressing further to the beast stage. Karma also often beats up Rumple for flirting with him, to the point where is it abuse. However, he is not afraid to admit his faults and grows ashamed when his brutish behavior is called out. For the most part though, he is caring and friendly. In his own route, it is shown that Karma can also have a warm side to him. 

However, Karma is a very talented swordsman, and is confident in his swordsmanship. Jurien and Garlan even ask Karma to become their teacher at one point in time (only in his route). His skills show that he is possibly the best swordsman to ever exist, because even the former Knights admire his kills.
