Loyal first mate to Captain Archibald Witwicky on his fateful final voyage, he is a superstitious old sailor who has seen and experienced too much in his many years on the seas to believe that there aren't forces at work in the world beyond human ken. Some of these forces he reveres, but should any of them pose a danger to him or those close to him, he won't hesitate to fight back against the unknown.
