Adrienne Tan for Voice Actor- Granny Needles
Hello, I am a student animator in need of a voice actor for my senior short film and I’m looking for a voice for one of my characters.
Character description:
Granny Needles is a wise and mysterious old scrap gremlin, but she is also a tad dramatic, eccentric, and has an “I know best” attitude with a little bit of sass. However, in this short I want her to sound a bit more mysterious but excited for the first voiceline, and more strict and impatient like a old schoolteacher in the second part. Though in this last scene she is talking to a small child so make her sound more gentle and nurturing in the third voiceline. Fitting with her strange character design, I would also like her to have a subtle witchy sound to her voice. Just don’t overdo it since she is still a nice granny character, and I want her to be cute, quirky, and approachable. She is also a bit small so maybe give her a slightly higher pitch. Imagine in your head a cute old mouse witch with lots of flair. Thank you :]
Granny Needles: Line 1
(Granny Needles stands before a flickering candle, she is dramatic and mysterious and the tiniest bit excited, with an almost witchy tone to her voice.)
“Run along now children…”
“For the moon is full and the rowdy one has lost another”
Granny Needles: Line 2
(Granny Needles snaps her fingers, urging the other gremlins to get to work. Snapping will be added in post.)
“Well off to it!”
Granny Needles: Line 3
(Granny Needles gently helps the small child stand up and catches her as she stumbles.)

Thank you for your submission, I truly wasn't expecting so many auditions. Sadly I could only pick one. While your recording wasn't quite what I'm looking for, I deeply appreciate your support and I hope you keep up the good work.
Thank you for the reply, all the best on your project!
Thank you! If I remember, I will update the project when I upload the finished film to my YouTube channel so you guys can see. :]
