In Epic: The Musical, Telemachus is the young son of Odysseus and Penelope. At the start of the story, he’s unsure of who he is and struggles with his father’s long absence. He yearns for Odysseus to return but is also determined to protect his mother, Penelope, and take responsibility for his kingdom, Ithaca.

Throughout the musical, Telemachus grows from a hesitant, unsure boy into a brave young man. As he learns more about his father’s legacy, he begins to believe in his own strength and leadership. His journey is one of self-discovery, and his songs show his transformation from doubt to confidence, capturing his path to becoming a hero in his own right.
