Kuniharu Saiki is the father of Kusuo and Kusuke and the husband of Kurumi. Kuniharu is one of the supporting characters of the series. Kuniharu is unreliable, reckless and slovenly. He is a doormat who is always nice and respectful to people no matter how rude or scornful they are to him, such as his boss, who orders him to lick his shoes, and his father-in-law, who harbors a strong hatred towards him. His submissive behaviour even borders on making him self-serving, often begging with disgusting teary faces towards his son.

(Whiny, dramatic, pretending to be the victim) "H-Honey! Our son is bullying me again! He keeps giving me that cold, silent stare! Look at him! It’s like he’s judging my entire existence! …Oh, wait, he is judging me? Well, that’s just rude."
(Boastful but clearly delusional) "Listen, Kusuo, when I was your age, I was a legend! The coolest guy in school, admired by all! People would stop and say, ‘Wow, look at Kuniharu! What an amazing guy!’ …Oh wait, no, that was in my dreams. Still counts, though!"
