VOICE: Low (not necessarily strict with this, if you think your voice fits, go for it). The way she talks doesn't have much variety in tone; there's an element of exhaustion, so she almost sounds lazy. and - while reaper is a trans woman (perisex male), i envision she does not make the effort to train her voice to a higher pitch. (again, not necessarily strict with this)

CHARACTER: As her name suggests, she IS the grim reaper. She guides beings to a peaceful end after their bodies die. Reaper's not all that inviting as she does not disclose a lot about herself. that social disconnect may make her seem cold, but she doesn't mean it. Her way of speaking is colloquial, hanging onto the words she used while she was still alive. despite her unwillingness to use formalities, she does her job and does it well. as well as one can being tormented by other entities of the in-between, anyway. As a result of this unnecessary stress, she's more prone to irritation, and not always at 100%.

NOTES: 

- Reaper is Black, and thus I will only consider submissions from Black actors. 

- Reaper has scenes in which a younger, alive version of herself is shown, with a slightly different voice to match. You don't need to submit your audition with this voice, but do think of one while you do. Reaper is millions of years old and she smokes. Rhetorically: how would her alive, shy, much younger counterpart sound compared to her present self?
