Painless is the guardian of Earth, and like his element, he is often quite grounded and capable of incredible strength. He is tempered, often calm but has a rough exterior until he warms up to others and that is when he can be quite friendly. He possesses the virtue of Wisdom, and has as much intellect to go along with his brute strength. His Guardian form is that of a large black wolf, wielding a great hammer.

Over the course of the series, he grows closer and falls in love with his comrade Grifter, which only spurs him further to face whatever he must to keep him safe as well.

Painless has a deep, baritone-to-bass resonating voice. Thinking along the lines of actor Sam Elliott, OPTIONAL he could have a slight American southern accent but it is not required for this role (his namesake was born in North Carolina, so it is there but as a hint)
