At first glance Kazuki looks like a tough guy, but in actuality is very mild-mannered, gullible, easily flustered, and tends to jump to conclusions. He fell into his career after failing multiple company interviews and seeing a fateful flyer at a train station. Though as a detective, he's as inexperienced and by-the-book as they come.

  • [looking for guidance] "And what am I supposed to do now? Okay... Right. Wait what was that again? Ah! I lost my place! Could you start over?"

  • [nervous] "Hey, boss? Is it okay if I just stay out here? It's just, I'm kind of weak to blood...really squicks me out. Like, a lot..."

  • [asking] "Do you think the boss prefers wheat noodles of rice noodles? She didn't tell me which.  
    [panic] Ah! What if I get the wrong ones?!  Does she want them hot or cold?! What about the flavor? 
    [blank] My life is over...
